Associate of Arts in Ministry (A.A.M.)
The Associate of Arts in Ministry (A.A.M.) degree is designed to provide its recipients with an undergraduate liberal arts/vocational degree in a two-year format in the area of Christian Ministry.
Bachelor of Arts (A.B.)
The purpose of the Bachelor of Arts program at Sacred Heart Major Seminary is to provide an undergraduate liberal arts degree in a four-year format with a major in philosophy or pastoral theology.
Bachelor of Philosophy (B. Phil)
The purpose of the Bachelor of Philosophy program at Sacred Heart Major Seminary is to provide an undergraduate degree in a two-year format with a major in philosophy for students who already possess a bachelor degree.
Basic Diploma in Music Ministry
The purpose of the Basic Undergraduate Diploma Program in Music Ministry at Sacred Heart Major Seminary is to provide students with a course of study in the area of liturgical music ministry.
Basic Diploma in Catholic Theology
The purpose of the Undergraduate Pastoral Ministry Program at Sacred Heart Major Seminary is to provide its students with a course of study in the area of Christian Ministry. This course of study constitutes a partial fulfillment of the requirements for archdiocesan certification of volunteers and professionals in ministry, and it may be used as a component of the Associate of Arts in Ministry (A.A.M.) degree.

Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology (S.T.B.)
The Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology (S.T.B.) degree offered by Sacred Heart Major Seminary is an ecclesiastical degree conferred by the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome (Angelicum) through the faculty of SHMS.
Licentiate in Sacred Theology (S.T.L.)
The S.T.L. degree offered by Sacred Heart Major Seminary is a post-graduate ecclesiastical degree in pastoral theology with a focus on the New Evangelization. The Pontifical University of St. Thomas (The Angelicum) in Rome confers the degree through the faculty of SHMS.
Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies (M.A.P.S.)
Graduate degree that integrates the intellectual, personal, spiritual and ministerial goals with the theological disciplines of Roman Catholic faith and tradition.
Master of Arts in Theology (M.A.)
Graduate degree that integrates the theological disciplines of Roman Catholic faith and tradition.
Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
Graduate degree program specifically for men preparing for priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church.
Permanent Diaconate
This academic program, which can be completed at the graduate or undergraduate level, is partial fulfillment of the formation of men seeking ordination to minister as a Permanent Deacon.
