Pastoral Ministry Grant
The Pastoral Ministry Grant Program through the Archdiocese of Detroit Endowment Foundation provides grants to eligible individuals to assist them in attending approved Catholic institutions for study leading to pastoral ministry certification.
The Pastoral Ministry Grant Program is open to Catholic men and women without regard to race, ethnic origin, disability, or age.
The Church has a great need for talented, prayerful Catholics from all walks of life to provide leadership in our communion of faith. In order to encourage and support the training of leaders in selected areas of ministry, the Archdiocese of Detroit Endowment Foundation offers tuition assistance grants for those seeking ministerial certification in the following areas:
- Youth ministry certification
- Director of religious education certification
- Catechist certification including high school religion teachers
- Lay ecclesial ministry certification in areas described below, where there is at least one concentration in youth and family ministry:
- Christian service coordinator certification
- Faith formation certification
- Liturgical musician certification
- Parish evangelization coordinator certification
- RCIA coordinator certification
Documents required:
- application submitted every term
- copy of tax return - renewed annually
- household information
- letter from the pastor of your parish confirming parish enrollment
