The Institute for Lay Ministry wants to be a resource for students and alumni who seek a variety of ministry jobs, internship positions, and non-ministry work. We can also help churches, ministries, and employers post jobs for students and alumni.

All positions will be posted for up to two (2) months or as requested by the employer. Please note that any questions related to the posted jobs should be addressed to the employer, and not to the Institute for Lay Ministry. New postings will be emailed to current students and alumni, as defined by the requested educational degree or experience in the specific job posting.

  • Associate Director of Development and Stewardship (AOD), Reporting to the Director of Mission Advancement, the Associate Director of Development and Stewardship (ADDS) is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, closing, and providing stewardship to individuals capable of making gifts ($25,000+) to further the mission of the Archdiocese of Detroit and Sacred Heart Major Seminary, with a focus on the Department of Catholic Schools. The ADDS will act as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of donors and will work in partnership with department staff to move the fundraising relationship forward. The ADDS works collaboratively with and in support of volunteers, other development staff, and leaders to cultivate and solicit donors for institution-wide priorities.
  • Associate Director of Parish Development (AOD), The Archdiocese of Detroit is seeking a mission-aligned, detail-oriented, and relationship-driven professional to serve as the Associate Director of Parish Development. This vital role will lead the development and implementation of strategic offertory campaigns to strengthen year-round giving at the parish level, while also serving as the primary coordinator of the Archdiocese’s annual Catholic Services Appeal (CSA).
  • The Office of Evangelization and Discipleship (OED) for the Archdiocese of Atlanta has an immediate opening for a full-time ministry lead for marriage and family life. This position provides specialized expertise and consulting with pastors and other parish leaders in the areas of marriage ministry, natural family planning and family life ministry. This role also collaborates closely with the OED team to advance the mission of evangelization and discipleship formation, promote and support marriage as the foundation of family life and a vocation from God, and strengthen families in their mission as the domestic Church. Requirements include a master’s degree in theology or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years diocesan or parish leadership experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
