After diagnosing today’s pop culture, Dr. Donald Wallenfang will introduce an approach to contemplative prayer as a first step of effective evangelization that challenges pastoral ministers to reinvigorate their personal lives of prayer in relation to their missionary activity. A variety of spiritual and philosophical practices will be presented as essential methods to engage in contemplative evangelization through gathering up the fragments of life.
Dr. Donald Wallenfang, OCDS is professor of theology and philosophy, and Lay Formator with the Institute for Lay Ministry at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. He and his wife are fully professed members of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites.
