About the speaker:
Matt Meeks is the current chief digital officer and chief marketing officer of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and president of The OneWord Group. Within his three years at the Archdiocese, Meeks has recruited a team of digital experts to work within an Archdiocese resulting in increased digital distribution of up to 7 Million Catholics per week from 60,000 two years ago. As president of the OneWord Group, Meeks has conducted high-level audits of Archdioceses around the globe from a management consulting standpoint gaining deep access and insight into the inner functions of the Church environment and needs of bishops, priests, and laity.
Prior to his work at the Archdiocese, Meeks led the social media business for Initiative - a global media agency, overseeing sales, strategy and team management on accounts with hundreds of millions of dollars in advertising spend. He oversaw social media for Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Group and launched the social profiles for an international athlete and celebrity during the 2010 World Cup now reaching more than 117 million people. He is a founding member of the International Academy of Web Television and Member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Digital Media Peer Group. He holds a degree from the University of Colorado in Business Administration with emphases in International Business and Economics.
