Academic Skills Center

SHMS provides the Academic Skills Center (ASC), a service through which students can receive individualized instruction, in order to address some students’ needs to improve in the core academic skills that are necessary to succeed in college-level coursework.  The services provided by the Academic Skills Center are designed to help students improve in writing, reading, study skills, note-taking, test-taking, and English as a Second Language. The ASC hours of operation are posted on bulletin boards throughout the building and in every classroom. 
 

The ASC is located on the ground floor in the northwest wing of the building.

 

Appointments are recommended as the hours of the Academic Skills Center are limited.
