85th Anniversary

2011 marks the 85th year of the Catholic High School League.  Below is the list of the 85 greatest male athletes (one for each year of CHSL athletics for male sports) and the 39 greatest female athletes (one for each year of CHSL athletics for female sports) as selected by a committee based on nominations taken by the league office during the past six months.  In 1978, the top 52 male and female athletes were chosen.  The committee kept all athletes chosen in 1978 and decided not to include any athletes that are currently in college.
