BRIDGING THE GENERATIONS
OVER AND OVER AGAIN, Christ calls us to examine our lives and reflect on how we can more fully participate in the mission of the Church, a mission of preaching and teaching, serving and worshipping for the glory of God. The Catholic Services Appeal is an important way for us to renew our personal commitment to the work of the Church.
Although you may wonder how the CSA benefits you, it surely does. After all, we are the Body of Christ and the CSA funds ministries and services that touch the lives of many thousands of Catholics in southeast Michigan each year.
The theme of this year's CSA is Bridging the Generations. Gifts to the CSA benefit every generation in the Archdiocese by funding the work of the Central Service departments of Communications, education and Parish Life and Services, as well as the Vocations Office, Sacred Heart Major Seminary, the Metropolitan Tribunal and The Michigan Catholic newspaper. By making a pledge to the CSA, we join with all our sisters and brothers who gather with us around the eucharistic table of the Lord to do the work that no one individual can do. |
